I have a 1997 Ford Taurus SHO with a V8 and just the past week had a tap in my engine, come to find out it IS the camshaft, I did some investigation and found that it is a known problem. I called Ford Customer Service and they said that they didn't have enough complaints to warrant a recall and wouldn't pay for the replacement. I want to be put on the list for complaints for the faulty camshaft.
