How to use Multimeter to Test COP

New 02/27/2005

Could someone explain exactly where to put the ohmmeter leads to test the primary
& secondary sides? I've looked at the stuff on the web site but am still confused
about it.

There are two primary pins, one is marked B+ and is the 12V hot (not
that it makes any difference here). These are the small ones that the
harness plugs into. Check between these two, should read from .3 to
.8 ohms. Then from each of these pins to the secondary contact (the
spring), should read 4k to 10 k ohms.
