Eric's Inappropriate Action Victim - Cam Failure #791

New 3/25/07, updated 3/26/07, 3/29/07

So, Yesterday's Inappropriate Action Victim had serial #'s on the cams that didn't match, Plus, the heads looked like they were out of two different engines.

Clearly, something happened here.

Do I report a painfully obvious cam failure? This owner has no prior knowledge of this car's history.

Sure, if it helps the cause, I'm all for it. Once again I want to thank you, not only for the weld job, but for your professionalism and quality of work. I was impressed, and that's not easy to do. If you're ever in STL, look me up.

Remember when I said your cam #'s didn't match and it looked like your car had been repaired? I asked the V8SHO group about this "Evidence" and they asked to place your car on the cam failure list - you are tentatively lucky cam failure report # 791. Before I release any info to the site I wanted to ask your permission. Do you want your name added to the list? It's pretty obvious what must have taken place under your valve covers.

My name is Jon Bell and I would like to be added to the owners list on V8SHO.com. I own a 1997 Ebony Mist SHO, and I live in St. Louis Missouri.

I also have a question if you have the time. I just recently got my cams welded by Eric Lehmann, how do I go about posting a recommendation on his cam welding experience page? I am lucky cam failure # 791, but she's still running. If there's anything else I can do to help our cause, please let me know.
