Monty Jautz - Cam Failure #1137

Date 09/07/09, updated 9/12/09

Hello,

I've looked at the updates on your site, but have not found if your site has identified my cam failure.

About my car, the replacement motor had 100,000 kms on it when I bought it and did the cam weld, and have put on 100,000 kms since.

Thank you for including my info,

Monty Jautz

Subject: V8 Taurus cam failure

Hello Larry,

I purchased a 1996 Taurus SHO with about 150,000km on it about 5 years ago. I purchased it with the cam failure, purchased a used engine, replaced the engine(after welding the cams) and then gave the car to my mom to drive. I just recently got the car back and wanted to be included in your list of cam failures. I still have the failed engine in my garage.

please contact me with any information you may have.

Thanks,
Monty Jautz
