We Have Lost a Brother

07/14/2007

From ShoForum.I had the opportunity of meeting JT years ago. A finer man has yet to present himself to me.

If we can do anything to help I know we will.

It was indeed very sad news to hear.

It's an unfortunate reminder just how fragile and unpredictable life can be.

Ok some corrections from my mistakes.

I spoke with leann today for a while, thier son is 13 Days old. I was told 3 My mistake.

Leann had a tuff time with the pregnancy and JT was taking care of both, she was bed riden and they had the new born. Last night thier boy woke about 12 and JT went in to take care of him, after a little bit the child went to sleep, at about 3am today he woke again and Leann noticed the baby crying, she tried to wake JT up and he never did.

I guess he was happy though taking care of his son as his last thing he did.

Guys, sorry But Jt and I were very very good freinds and none of this might not make sense the way I have writen it, Im not good with this stuff at all and not good with dealing.

I loved JT like a brother.

Leann will keep me updated as things progress with arangements and such, and I will keep Beth updated if I cant post. I would like if possible to set up a fund like we did for Carter's son. Leann will be out of work for a while, they just purchased a house and a newborn.

I cant beleive it. later

That's so sad. I'm glad that he got to meet his son and I'm also glad that he went peacefully though it still sucks that he's gone.

Beth,

Any chance you could open this thread for everyone to see (like you did with Carter's thread), assuming you haven't already?

I'm sad to say that I never had the chance to interact with Jeremy, although, being a "young" old timer myself, I do remember many of his forum posts. Like others here, this situation also hits close to home for me, not because of the health aspect, but because of the very young child he leaves behind. It's amazing how your perspectives change once you have your own children...

Godspeed to his wife and his family.

Got to meet him at a few of our NY SHO gatherings years ago. Good guy. Keep us posted on how we can help.

I conversed with JT extensively starting with SHOtimes, through the SHOforum startup, and the split to SHO.com when times got rough here. I found through the years that JT had persistance of character, love it or leave it. Egos, attitudes and arguments aside, he always exhibited concern for the community on both the macro and micro level.

We were just having an informal conversation about what to do to keep sho.com intact (we both a great time at the forum during it's hey-day). Not knowing he had passed, I replied about an hour ago to his last message, posted the 7th. That was his typical patience with me, it mattered not if I responded in an hour or a month.

A wealth of knowledge, patience and understanding has passed with JT. I am proud to have known him, and I pray that his family will find solace in their memories of a father and husband that had an odd passion for four doors and a foot to the floor.

Rest in peace, brother.

David

Beth, I cross posted this over at TCCA.

http://www.taurusclub.com/forum/inde...howtopic=47866

Jeremy's wife, Leanne, his child, his friends and family all have my sympathies and condolences on their tragic loss. Jeremy was a great person, and the one time I met him is was definitely a pleasure. He will truly be missed by a great many people.

My condolences to his family and friends. :(

I am glad to hear that he was able to witness the birth of his child- this probably meant the world to him. I am sorry that their son will never know JT.

Rest in peace, JT.

Very sad, I knew Jeremy very well but lost touch with him over the past year.
We talked about his new house and baby on the way via internet....

What a shame.

Here is a forum he was on a lot in teh Rochester area. There is also a cruise in his benefit. Here are the links:

Extremely shocking news, I found out yesterday via a text from Kirk, and my jaw literally dropped. Kirk asked me at the shop last night what I thought of the whole thing, and I honestly didn't have an answer. I guess I was still taking the whole thing in, or was in shock or something.

JT was one of those great guys that stood his ground no matter what people thought. Sure, it caused some issues but he never compromised his integrity for anyone.

Kirk and I were just talking about him at the shop two nights ago. We were getting things loaded up for Kirk's trip to the convention, and ran across the very first set of Gen 1 front strut plates I ever welded together. They were JT's design, and worked perfectly. We worked together on a few other projects as well, and he was always a good person to bounce ideas off of and know you would get a straight answer. All in all, I'd say up here at NESHO we learn a lot from each other, about the cars and life in general. I'm sad to not have seen JT more than I did, but he was always a good friend, always willing to help someone in need, and an excellent addition to our knowledge base.

He will be sadly missed.....
