Unknown if it is a cam failure or not, owner is looking for less than 4 figures for it based on a telephone call. Mileage was around 110K, he says the motor is tied up, could be a valve through the piston from a cold cam failure, or could be any other of several reasons for it to be tied up as he said it doesn't turn clockwise or counter clockwise from the crank pulley (which to me rules out the valve through the piston approach). He hasn't sold any parts off of it yet, so I thought maybe someone here would want the whole car....

Details pending - Buford

My Green 96 - now the SHO R.T.S. car - had just such an engine. Think WEDGE. Think hammer handle. Push a valve far enough into a piston and viola' it spreads. Can't BUDGE that bastard. Was hell getting the torque converter off. Sounds EXACTLY like a broken valve to me.  - Eric
