problem and thought it best to refer it to a Ford dealer. I choose

and night. --------------------------------------------------------------- Jim Merriman

10. Brief description of the time of events leading towards the malfunction. (what did you hear and see before, during, and after the malfunction) --- Heard ticking for a day then poof, manfunction. I was not aware of the issue, and was planning on bring car into the shop that afternoon. Ticking only heard at idle. I could not hear it past 1K RPM, thought it was a bad gas thing.

11. Customer service phone # you called and the name of the person you
talked to. (if you can remember) --------------------------- just a Ford customer representive, absolute no help

12. Did you feel satisfied with the answers customer service -- no
provided?Explain. --- They wouldn't explain, just said I was out of warranty period. She didn't have a clue what a camshaft was. Could have been anything to her. Very unhelpful, wouldn't escalate issue into the management channel.

(name,address, phone#) --------- Crestwood Ford
1230 Main Street
Watertown, CT 06795

14. What was the cause of failure determined by the dealer? ------- They had no idea. I asked for a root cause anaylsis.

15. What was the cause of failure determined by you? ------------- Cam design!

16. How much was your statement? (I hope you kept your receipt) -$5,967.71

17. What can FOMOCO do to make you a satisfied Ford owner? -- Send me a check for $5,967.71 and four new cams of a new design out of billet as a cam should be made of or at least pay the $5,967.71 and pay for the cams to be welded now. Barring a check for the $5.967.71, a coupon good at any Ford dealer for a period of 5 years for that amount or greater and a check for the cost of the cams to be welded, say an allowance of $1,000.00 ($500 for the actually work and $500.00 travel allow to a repair center 900 miles away! There are only 3 places to go to that have any real experience in this FPS being the most common)

Thank you
