Chock up another one fella's. I picked up a 96 w/a 97motor.The previous owner claimed 60k and that all four cams were welded. After the failure I discovered that the two front cams were tack welded and the primary cam welds broke causing the problem, and he never did weld the rear cams. Nice guy, huh? My local Ford Dealer says they can locate a 96 motor w/ 60k installed for $5,600. What are the chances they have been welded though. It has not been a good day. Does that sound like a good price for the job though?
