Vehicle Description

You are looking at a 1997 Ford taurus SHO the exterior color is black metallic and the interior is gray leather, the engine is a 3.4 liter V8. The car is loaded with chrome rims, moonroof, tape deck ,cd changer in the trunk power windows, power locks, keyless entry. The paint on the car is in great shape there is a spot of surface rust on the back part of deck lid. The leather is in great shape only flaw is drivers seat there is a rip from getting in and out of car it is a easy fix, rims and tires have plenty of tread left on them for the engine it does not burn any oil but there is a lifter noise so the engine tics when running for the transmission it shifts and drives second gear shifts a little hard the transmission fluid is dirty could use a flush. For this car to be perfect it will need some engine work i am describing vehicle as best i can. The car was sent out and fully detailed inside and out it will be cleaned again at delivery. The car is being sold locally i have the right to end auction early this vehicle is being sold as is. Any questions please email me before bidding at RMSALEEN50@AOL.COM or contact me direct at 413-244-4779 as always thanks for looking and good luck bidding!!

Lifter noise? Do these engines even have lifters? I thought the cams pushed on the valves?

Gee, must have been diagnosed by the same dealer that did mine before the cam sprocket gave out the following week! Nope, even I knew that it didn't have lifters though the service writer asked me to verify my ASE certification before he would write up an order stating "it has a loose cam sprocket which would be next to impossible to occur on a car of this age".

    Carter

Your reply to him should be:

"it is not a matter of me verifying my ASE certification, but it IS a matter of how did YOU ever get an ASE certification in the first place."
